Of course nobody likes paying the rats that run the government. The Branch Davidians didn't want to pay taxes and look how they ended up.
The fact people think tax cuts for the corprate billionare class will benefit you is a brain damaged take. There's a crazy idea that infects the minds of the uneducated that 1) less taxes for rich people means less taxes for me 2) that less taxes overall means a better economy and 3) someday I will be rich and wont have to pay taxes.
The reality is that I would happily pay taxes if the money went to things I support. Instead it goes to bombing children in Gaza and around the world. It goes to our evil imperialism. It does not go to anything that benefits Americans.
Most taxes that normal people deal with end up being regressive. Sales tax being one of the most of such a group. These taxes end up making people who make less pay a higher percentage of their income. This is where, I think, most of the hatred for taxes come from.
